Biography

Ulick Canning de Burgh, Lord Dunkellin, eldest son of the 1st Marquess of Clanricarde by his wife Harriet Canning, was an MP for County Galway.

Ulick de Burgh was born in the family townhouse in St. James's Square.

The life-size bronze statue of Lord Dunkellin, erected in Eyre Square, Galway, in 1873, was pulled down in May 1922.
